Veterans’ Health Week Trip

On the weekend of 25-27th October 2019, several Stanthorpe RSL Sub-Branch members went out for a two night ‘bush’ trip to coincide with Veterans’ Health Week 2019. The weekend involved problem solving activities, a bushwalk, team tasks, and individual skill challenges.

The weekend kicked off with reciting the Ode on Friday night, and raising the Australian National Flag on Saturday morning. At the end on Sunday, all who attended commented that the weekend activity was very enjoyable, safely run, and helpful in being able to reconnect with past skills in a familiar environment, and talk with people with military backgrounds and experiences.

Thanks to the Stanthorpe RSL Sub-Branch committee and members for sponsoring the activity as part of Veterans’ Health Week 2019.
